Chin augmentations are intended to be subtle.  The purpose of a chin augmentation is to balance out facial features.  After chin augmentation, your chin will be in better harmony with the rest of your face.

Typically, the other procedures are also aimed at balancing out facial features such as the nose, cheeks, or neck.  Commonly, chin augmentation can be combined with a rhinoplasty, buccal fat excision, or liposuction of the neck

Chin augmentation can make the neck look slimmer and more attractive. Sometimes, liposuction or a neck lift may be done alongside the chin procedure to further contour the neck and jawline

If the patient doesn’t like the results of their procedure, the chin implant can be removed. However, in some cases, the implant causes a depression in the bone below, which can result in less projection than the individual originally had.
